About me:

I’ve been designing book covers since 2001. After a decade working for book publishers Hodder & Stoughton, The Orion Publishing Group and as Art Director for Canongate Books, I set up my own studio in 2010. Now our international client list includes everyone from Amazon to Indies. My work has been awarded and exhibited. I teach young creatives and lecture older ones. I’m also Associate Art Director for crowd-sourced publisher Unbound.

How do you work with authors?

Whilst there’s no substitute for publishing expertise, involving the author is invaluable. Engaging them with the cover design process, creatively and practically, empowers them and makes for a better cover.

Roughly how much do you charge per cover?
